My first attempt at a character sheet. Ultraman was a nostalgic series that I used to watch with my brothers. This design was highly inspired by the Ultraman reboot manga, where the classic rubber suits are now replaced with unique armour. I enjoyed experimenting with sci fi themes, like hardlight featured in this design, melding practicality and aesthetics. The Japanese word "Genki" means "Spirit" in English.

Concept series of aliens inspired by planets. I wanted to vary their abilities and make them as unconventional as possible to differentiate them, and avoid common tropes such as being grey and bug-eyed, or being extremely intelligent.

Singapore River Cruise Mascot Ideation

[Digital Dream Internship Work] Tasked to create a few mascot designs for the Singapore River Cruise. Originally, the aim was to have 2 parent boats, a daughter boat, and a son boat. Each of them would have individual themes. Eventually, the clients wanted to focus more on the theme of generation, thus the final concepts was the father, mother, son, and grandfather boats, with similar designs.

[Group Project] [Role: Character Design, Storyboarding, Post Production] A story about an adult daughter and her elderly mother navigating their relationship during COVID-19. Our group decided on a simpler look with cartoonish proportions like bigger hands and feet.

[Digital Dream Internship Work] [Role: Writer, character, prop, environment artist] Created enemy tentacles for a game I worked on during my internship at Digital Dream. They would pop up occasionally to attack the player. I did some simple animations for them in After Effects.
